# Themes

> Five built in themes, what each one looks like, which plan unlocks it and how switching affects your store.

**Appearance → Themes** lists every theme installed in your store, with a card for each one, a preview, and an **Activate** button. The card of the theme you are live with carries the **Active** badge.

## The five themes

| Theme | Style | Plan |
| - | - | - |
| Default | Clean light storefront, the theme every store starts on | All plans |
| Craft | Dark "console" look with grass green accents, built for game server stores | All plans |
| Azure | Modern gradient storefront with rounded cards | Starter and above |
| Ember | Warm orange, high energy layout | Professional and above |
| Meridian | Editorial, paper and ink look with hairline borders and monospaced numbers | Professional and above |

Themes on plans above yours are still listed, with a **Requires** {plan} **plan or higher** badge, and activation is refused until you upgrade.

## What switching changes

* Layout, colours, fonts and section design of every storefront page
* The landing page look, because each theme keeps **its own** copy of hero text, section order and colours
* Nothing else. Products, categories, orders, customers, coupons and legal pages are theme independent

> [!NOTE]
>
> Because settings are stored per theme, your second theme starts from the built in defaults, not from what the first theme looked like. Expect to spend ten minutes in the theme editor after the first switch.

## Switching is instant and reversible

Activation takes effect on the next page load, with no deploy and no cache waiting. Preview a theme before you commit, and switch back the same way if you do not like it.
