The five themes
Themes on plans above yours are still listed, with a Requires plan or higher badge, and activation is refused until you upgrade.
What switching changes
- Layout, colours, fonts and section design of every storefront page
- The landing page look, because each theme keeps its own copy of hero text, section order and colours
- Nothing else. Products, categories, orders, customers, coupons and legal pages are theme independent
Because settings are stored per theme, your second theme starts from the built in defaults, not from what the first theme looked like. Expect to spend ten minutes in the theme editor after the first switch.
Switching is instant and reversible
Activation takes effect on the next page load, with no deploy and no cache waiting. Preview a theme before you commit, and switch back the same way if you do not like it.Where to go next
- The theme editor, its live preview, language tabs and block builder: Theme editor
- Menu above the pages: Header menu
- Footer link columns: Footer links
- Small style overrides without touching a theme: Custom CSS
